Good afternoon Chieftain families,

It is a busy time of year.  I hope as the weekend weather begins to warm up, you’re all able to safely get outside and enjoy some more seasonably warm weather.  Thank you to those of you who send lovely letters to staff and CC’d me on those.  It was wonderful to read about the great work our teachers are doing at Utica High and I’m grateful to get that feedback.  Our students continue to work hard via our online program.  And the next few weeks will  bring a lot of excitement as we work toward the end of the school year.

Over the last week our students have begun to take nearly 890 AP exams.  I am proud of our students for continuing to pursue these exams during this time away from the building and their teachers.  As we head toward the end of the year, the word exam has come up a great deal. A reminder that there will not be any exams this year and seniors will conclude their year on May 29th and underclassmen on Thursday, June 11th.
