From The Principal

Happy New Year Chieftain Families,

PrincipalLietz

Welcome to 2017. Though this time of year is oft when people look back on the past year’s successes and struggles, this is when we, as educators, look forward to the great things that came with the turning of the sea-sons. Though in the heart of winter, we begin thinking about proms, graduations, but before we get there, we have to finish Semester 1!

The rest of the semester plays out like a blur, as we move quickly. This year’s Winter Break begins Friday, Dec. 23 and concludes as of Tuesday, Jan. 3. We return to school Wednesday, Jan 4. for a short three-day week. The week of the 9 – 13 is our last full week of school before exams which start on Wednesday, January 18. Those three days, Jan. 18 – Jan. 20 will be half days starting at normal time and ending at 10:22 providing two, roughly, 90-minute exam periods.
